Technology Requirements
Java
FileMaker Server 13 requires a minimum of JRE 1.7.0_25. We recommend that you use Java 1.7.0_71.

PHP
FileMaker Server 13 installs what you need to use PHP including the PHP engine, the FileMaker API for PHP,         sample code, and documentation. Use the latest version of PHP that FileMaker, Inc. has certified.

Windows users need PHP 5.3.27
Mac OS X 10.9 users need PHP 5.4.17
Mac OS X 10.8 users need PHP 5.3.15

Admin Console
The Admin Console is accessed through a web browser from a machine that has network access to FileMaker Server 13. Supported web browsers include:

Safari 6.x and Safari 7.x
Internet Explorer 9.x or 10.x
Chrome 27.x

These versions are the minimum requirements. FileMaker Server may also work with later browser versions certified by FileMaker, Inc.

Networking
TCP/IP

Required on all deployments: Ports 80, 443, and 5003 for FileMaker clients; 16000 for Admin Console users.

FileMaker Server 13 does not limit the number of simultaneous FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced client connections; each FileMaker Pro/Pro Advanced client requires a licensed copy of FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Advanced.

Security Supports AES-256 encryption of data at rest when the database files are encrypted by FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced. Sharing, reading from, and writing to AES-256 encrypted files is supported by all products in the FileMaker 13 platform.

Supports SSL with AES-256 encryption of data in transit when the database files are hosted with FileMaker Server 13.

Supports third party Certificate Authority (CA) SSL certificates to prevent Man in the Middle (MitM) attacks when the database files are hosted with FileMaker Server 13.
